Martin Kaßler
Brief introduction about yourself
My name is Martin Kaßler. I have been the managing director of the Association of Property Managers Germany since the end of 2010 and -among other things- I studied history and political science.
Which company/institution do you represent and what drives you in the company?
I represent the VDIV Germany and thus its 10 national associations and their 3,600 members. Creating sustainable political and economic framework conditions for property management drives me.
What is your relation to the topic of climate protection?
As an association of property managers, we also stand – indirectly – for the many apartments of the homeowners’ associations. Without the building stock of the homeowners’ associations, climate change is not possible.
Why is the project important from your point of view?
From my point of view, the project is important because on the one hand it draws attention to the issue of climate-neutral building stock in homeowners’ associations, but on the other hand new funding, financial approaches and support mechanisms are developed.
What is your role at GREEN Home?
VDIV Germany is the lead of the project, I myself am a supporter. We provide rooms and employees, I speak at events and make my network available.
In one sentence: your motivation for working at GREEN Home
Making climate change possible in existing buildings.
